This group exists to provide a central meeting place for families of children adopted from the Government Children's House #1 (Detsky Dom) in Ust-Kamenogorsk, Kazakhstan. It is also open to families who are adopting from the Children's House and have their dossier in-country Our purpose is to keep communication alive between our children so that they have another "family of origin" through their friends and group-mates at the Detsky Dom. We also wish to be a resource for city and regional news and travel information. Many of us have had good experiences and made friends in Kazakhstan and want our children to remember their birth country and learn more about their heritage. Many children have benefited from the efforts of Rodnik Church in Ust-Kamenogorsk. We would like to encourage and support their unique involvement and keep families informed of their ministry as a whole and specifically to the Detsky Dom. This group will not be a place for questions concerning agencies or adoption processes as this information is available elsewhere.
