Did your Welsh ancestors live in Upstate New York, USA? UpstateNYWelsh is an online community for people around the world who share Welsh ancestry in the upstate region of New York State in northeastern United States. "Upstate" includes the western, central, and eastern portions of New York State outside of the New York City metro area. To be a member, you MUST have an ancestral, family history connection to Welsh immigrants in Upstate New York.

All memberships are approved by the moderator. We do not accept memberships from anyone who does not meet membership requirements. Please, no spam, direct selling of products, or the posting of messages not relevant to the topic of our group. We are not a clearinghouse for general Welsh topics. For security reasons, we do not allow file attachments which can carry viruses and other malicious codes. These policies are in place to protect our group members and the integrity and uniqueness of our group content. Members are also advised not to provide a lot of personal information in their Yahoo profile which is public.
