That seems to be a large tank 6 foot by 6 foot. How tall is that tank? Have you
tried to do a large water changes lately? Maybe a large water change will do the
trick because in the wild they usually spawn in the spring when rain comes and
will do a big water change and will also lower the water temp some. Are you
giving them a good and varied diet? There might be something missing in the food
that you re giving them. What other fish are in with them? It might be that the
other fish are disturbing them too much this time.

Yes I finally got it from the LFS that I trust most. It only took about 2-3
years to get it but i finally got it today. I could of had the fish from
liveaquaria.com or another LFS that just opened up not that long ago but I am
not sure what kinda quality I would of got from either of the 2 places and I
know I get good quality fish from the 1 I got it from. So it was worth the wait
and he is absolutely beautiful. I ll see if i can post a pic of him on here.

Taking a guess at what happened here. Did a 50% water change two days ago, a
little more than my usual 1/3 weekly, and tossed in some Flourish Excel and
FloraPride 0/0/3 in the usual amounts in my planted Apisto cac. tank.
Definitely not overdosed, I had done this before with no issues.

Next day I thought my lights had burned out because the tank had a redddish hue,
then I saw the dead apistos, with the biggest one still alive, did two big water
changes and changed the carbon and hoped. He was dead this morning, neons
totally fine. The tank looked red under the lights but tank water in the white
sink looked green.

My only conclusion is that I used the last bit of Excel in the bottle and maybe
it was highly concentrated with iron? Or the combo of iron in Flourish and
Florapride reacted badly? I could have sworn I have put the two in the tank
simultaneously before, though.

Puzzling and highly dissapointed. Just ordered a CO2 regulator a week ago, to
help with plant growth. Not gonna use Flourish again, I suppose.

You really did jump in at the deep end.  How big a tank do you have?  How big are the Oscars?

Update: I decided to put the frog in a container floated in the regular tank. I googled a bit and thought warmer might be better than colder.

My son's tiny frog, a longtime faithful companion in my community tank, started floating at the top of the tank for the first time today. The other fish were nipping at him and he was barely moving. My son was sick over it. All I could think to do was to remove him to a fish bowl filled with tank water, and add a couple of pinches of aquarium salt. He seems to be rebounding a little, but I wonder if it's the stress of moving him, and not really recovery. Is there anything else I can do to feel comfortable that I've done what I could? I have some medication for various parasites, but haven't added any fish to the tank in ages so I don't suspect that's the issue. The water quality is good, and I'm good with water changes and tank maintenance.

The water temp in the aquarium is 77, and the water in the bowl I put him in will cool pretty quickly. Is cooler water likely to help or hurt?
