We were in petsmart and the girls there know that we have several tanks an a pond, so they are always giving us there babies as they know we will take care of them and not let them get eaten!!! Anyway, while in the store a month back getting a new filter, an a couple of plat's for my daughters smaller tank, we were given the cichlid fry. I really didn't want to take them, but my daughter was Oh Please, Please, Please..... so home the freebies went. I kept them along for a week and them into the big planted tank they went.

I know they cannot stay with my angels, but they might be the start of a new adventure. I will try to post pics soon, but based on the description does anyone know what these might be??? Do all cichlids start out without much color and develop later??? If so at what age can each type be distinguished? ??
