Description

We are a Waldorf-inspired homeschool group. Our members come from a large geographic area around Boston; from Metro-west, to the North Shore and up into Southern New Hampshire. The whole group gathers roughly every four weeks on a Thursday for fellowship, crafting, Festival preparation, games and networking. Additional meetings tend to be age- or activity- specific and are organized by community members. We also celebrate traditional Waldorf Festivals throughout the year in community. The group is governed by a Leadership Committee which currently consists of 6 members and is elected annually at Michaelmas.

At the moment, there are several sub-groups meeting. They are:
- Willow School Co-op, a parent-led school on Thursdays in Marblehead. Currently closed to new membership until January. Contact Monika for more info.
- WiSH, a teacher-led co-op that meets three days a week, with additional classes. Meets mostly in Beverly. Contact Susan L. for more info.
- Catkins, a teacher-led Kindergarten meeting two days a week in Lexington. Currently closed to new membership. Contact Robin H. For more info.
- Metro-West playgroup, a Waldorf play time for younger children. Contact Kelsey for more info.
- Northshore group, meets on Fridays in Danvers. This is a structured meeting with a Circle, craft and structured free-play. Contact Rachel K. for more info.
- The Outdoor Club. Meets on Friday afternoons to explore the outdoors through hiking, snow-shoeing, xc-skiing, biking. See the message boards for weekly info, or contact Gwen.

Our goal is to support one another and to enrich our experience of using a Waldorf pedagogy in the homeschool setting. Local families with any level of interest in Waldorf education are welcome to join us.
