This list is for people who are interested in some of the following:

*Sharing how the book Unconditional Parenting by Alfie Kohn has inspired us.
*Challenging ourselves to work with our children using the 13 Principles in the book.
*Doing exercises inspired from the book to find more "working with" solutions.
*Sharing how we as parents can get our needs met and meet our kids’ needs.
*Questioning whether we “have to" do certain things as parents.
*Discussing theory and parenting philosophy and real life issues.
*Exploring how other books both support and enhance UP (and where we think they don’t).

This group provides support and understanding for each participant's place in their growth and journey in exploring UP.

What this group is not:
*A debate about what Alfie Kohn meant, we will not debate someone else's intentions and motives, but rather will focus on what inspires us what WE'RE doing.
*A forum for TCS theory. This is a UP list NOT a TCS list!
*How and when we do we limit our children or how often (The assumption is we all have values in our family that we want to impart to our kids. The goal of this list is to explore how we do that by working with them by hearing their side as well as expressing our own and eventually finding "working with" solutions).
