Welcome! This is a group of people (and for people) who support Unassisted Birth and Home Birth as well as Water Birth, and are here to discuss these topics, or help people make an educated and informed decision whether or not these birth choices are for them.

In this group, discussions of at-home births, unassisted childbirth and waterbirth are welcome and encouraged! We are parents of two children born at home and wish to share experiences as well as our research with everyone, whether it is your first child or your 10th! Husbands/Partners and all other family members are welcome, along with expectant (and all other) mothers. If you are of the opinion that childbirth is a "Women's Only" experience and that partners have no role or say, this is NOT the group for you, please move on.

The philosophy of this group has always been to "keep it simple". Although the group has existed for over 5 years, we have a limited member list because ALL members are expected to be active. For everyones protection, it is in the best interest of our little community to make sure everyone has a grasp of who they are posting to. If you do not intend to post to the group at all, do not join, as it will save everyone some aggravation. This is a safe haven for us. No one is permitted to use the "No Mail" setting without special exception from the group owners. Inactive members/accounts are purged on a regular basis.
