This group is for members and friends of the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Ames to communicate about gardening. It is particularly relevant as we gear up for the gardening season. Someone could tell about extra seed potatoes she wants to give away. A person could ask if anyone has raspberry plants to share or for advice on how to compost. Or people could ask for help building beds and planting gardens. The message board will also be relevant when it comes time to glean produce. Someone could alert others that an apple tree has plenty of fruit that is going to waste and schedule a gleaning party. A person might have an abundance of eggs to share. Or another might want to know of a source for grass fed beef. Or another might want to announce a picnic. And we hope to have some UUFA classes on putting food by, like making pickles or sauerkraut.
