This grassroots community of Charlottesville-area UU Families was created to help us connect with each other, share infomation and resources, support each other with issues of liberal religious parenting, and to share information about the TJMC Religious Education Program events and trends. You do not need to be a member/attender of the Thomas Jefferson Memorial Church congregation or the RE (Religious Ed) program in order to belong to this listserv, but we warmly welcome you to become a part of the church community. Unchurched UUs and liberal religious friends of UUism are very welcome here. Come share your wisdom, ask your questions, cross-post events of other groups and organizations, and connect and make friends with like-minded folks and families.

Typical topics may include: announcements of TJMC RE program events, posts seeking UU playdates, threads about raising kids, announcements of other groups' and organizations' events in the community likely to be of interest to UU families, requests for advice on extended-family interfaith issues, and so on.

This list is created to be a combination of an announcements/resource-sharing list as well as chat group. It is our hope that all families involved in TJMC will join this list, even if some members set their email preferences to read posts on the web (no-email or special-announcements-only) rather than the default, which is to receive all the individual emails posted to the group. Moderators have the right to delete any post.
