Eske was offered the ticket aboard the Lovell, a larger sickbay to assist. A
second gold pip to add to his collar was amongst the other shiney decorations
he'd been given in addition to the new assignment. First he'd have to travel to
Betazoid.

At first he was looking forward to the new posting. A larger ship meant a
larger medical staff, and plenty of new opportunities to meet new people. Sure
he'd miss the old ones... but that was the way things went. He'd been fine in a
month, or so he thought. He pushed the thought to the back of his mind for the
first week.

The first week on betazoid went well. He spent the time in the wilderness
amongst the wildlife. After the week had past, he had met a few friends.
Amongst them, the personnel of the wild life refuge.

At first he had crossed paths with the wild life managers, trying out his
fishing rod in a prohibited zone. After a small talk with them and clearing up
the misunderstanding he quickly became friends with the young Clara. Even
shared tea with her and her father, the caretaker of the camp grounds where a
cabin was situated.

The second week brought about a relization. He had gone to town and met the
betazoid doctor who would be his chief medical officer. After discussing over a
long lunch basic chatter, he kept bringing up the time aboard the washington.

When he mentioned the captain, he was overcome with a feeling of regret, the
washington was his home. never before had he such a feeling of guilt. Like he
had abandoned his friends by leaving the washington. He got up and left the
lunch on short notice. The feelings of guilt and regret poured through his
head. It was then he realized, there was only one captain in a star sailors
life that would ever cuase the fire of admiration, and everything after would
just be another ship and another captain. He had to get back to the
washington...
