This week's meeting will feature two fun videos: "Perfect Copy", an indy film
about human clones, and "Roddenberry on Patrol," the story of a Los Angeles cop
who is a screenwriter in his spare time, and meets a bunch of characters who
inspire a science fiction TV series he is working on. It features Walter Koenig,
Nichelle Nichols, and Tim Russ.

Just wanted to say hello to all and let you all know I'm alive and kicking!  I
should have a car buy the end of April, depending on when my tax return comes
in.  So I look forward to seeing you all again!  My health is at 100% and now
all I need is my wheels.

The next meeting of tghe USS Abraham Lincoln NCC 71809 will be held on April 30,
2011 in New Paltz. Commander Yee will post the information as to where, when and
what activities will be taking place that day. Crew from Rockland County and
areas south can meet at my house and we can caravan up to the meeting site. When
the information is posted, please let me know who is going so we can make all
necessary arrangements.

Sometimes it gets busy for me...especially next week.  So I wanted to take the
time now to wish all of the shipmates that celebrate Passover a blessed and
happy Passover.

Our May event is now being publicized by both the Mid-Hudson Astronomical

The April meeting of the USS Abraham Lincoln will be taking place at the New
City Library on Squadron Blvd in New City New York.

Directions have been posted in the files seciton of this Yahoo group.

Hope to see as many of you at the meeting as possible.

There is a Coulter 13.1 mirror up on Cloudy Nights. I am going to be getting rid
of my Coulter which will have no mirror after next week. Between the two one
would have a good bit of aperture for the price.

"Macho Man" Randy Savage, a professional wrestler who became a fan favorite
thanks to his outlandish outfits and trademark catchphrase, died Friday in a car
wreck, as first reported by TMZ.

The 58-year-old Savage -- whose legal name was Randy Mario Poffo -- reportedly
suffered a heart attack while driving his 2009 Jeep Wrangler in Tampa, Fla., and
careened across lanes of oncoming traffic before colliding head-on with a tree.
He died later at a local hospital.

Savage's wife Lynn, who was riding in the passenger seat, escaped with only
minor injuries. Both passengers were wearing seatbelts and the police do not
believe alcohol was a factor.

The World Wrestling Federation favorite from Ohio burst onto the scene in 1985
and quickly drew attention with his flamboyant outfits and "ooh yeah!"
catchphrase. His marriage to Elizabeth Hulette, Ms. Elizabeth to fans, was one
of the first high-profile wrestler/valet relationships. They divorced in 1992.
Savage remarried last year.

He won two WWF championships in his career. His match against Ricky Steamboat in
1987's Wrestlemania III is considered one of the best WWF bouts ever. Savage won
the title late that year, setting the stage for memorable battles with Hulk
Hogan, who would eventually dethrone him as champion.

World Wrestling Entertainment released an official statement on Friday
afternoon.

"WWE is saddened to learn of the passing of one of the greatest Superstars of
his time, Randy Poffo, aka Randy "Macho Man" Savage.

One of Macho Man's biggest rivals was Hulk Hogan. Hogan said he and Savage had
just started talking again after 10 years.

"He had so much life in his eyes & in his spirit, I just pray that he's happy
and in a better place and we miss him," Hogan wrote.

Savage also appeared in memorable ads for Slim Jim and played a wrestler in the
2002 hit film "Spider-Man."

This month's meeting will be at the King's Daughter's Library in Haverstraw, NY.

We will feature a showing of "Perfect Copy: The Eve of Truth," an independent
film written by and starring Glenda C. Finkelstein, that explores the identity
of human clones. Also starring Ned Portman ("I Was a Teenage Werewolf," "The Rat
Patrol").

OOoops. June's meeting is on the 23rd, not the 18th as I earlier indicated, and
as you may have been notified by Yahoo.
