REPLACED THE "SHAPE" PATCH.

This site is designed for ASA Veterans who conducted Comm-Intel missions to determine the extent of any threat to the USofA - the mission being, and the ultimate goal - to provide the USofA Government with the knowledge to prepare for the protection and preservation of the USofA way of life and all elements held dearly for friends and families.

Following Victory in Europe, the 114th moved across Germany, pausing for a time in Heidelburg and Frankfort - being ordered out of cities - a search committee settled on a former Luftwaffe base near the Bavarian village of Herzogenaurch - to be named Herzo Base.

It was a terrific assignment for ASA members of not only the (re-named) 114th Signal Service Company, Herzo was occupied also by the 6th Detachment (later redesignated 8606th DU), as well as a detachment of the 52nd Sig Svc Co.- Signal Security Monitors - and by the Second Radio Squadron Mobile (2nd RSM), US Army Air Force. When the USAF becoming a seperate branch of the US Military, this unit and so many good buddies moved to Darmstadt, Germany.

Logo of the 114 Signal Radio Intelligence Co., "Jimminy the Cricket" was created by Walt Disney, as a favor for one of the original members of the unit which along with other like units was formed at Camp Crowder, Missouri - 1943.
