Picnic The University City High School Alumni Association is excited to announce the 2009 UCHSAA Annual Family Potluck Picnic and Open Grill Saturday, July 25th at Heman Park from Noon until dusk. This event is for ALL UCITY ALUMNI and we hope you will come out with your friends and family, have fun and make memories. Over the next several weeks we will send 3-4 additional emails concerning the picnic and apologize to those of you who do not live in the area and/or are not planning to attend, but this is the only way to ensure that as many alumni as possible are reached. All picnic emails will have picnic in the subject bar. Please feel free to delete as necessary. We are attempting to bring more excitement to the event by adding organized events throughout the day, vendors, live music, and other surprises! Included in this email are volunteer, vendor and sponsorship opportunities, softball sign up, entertainment opportunities and more. Please read on and let us know how you would like to participate. Our next UCHSAA meeting is Wednesday, June 17 @ 6pm in the lower level of the McNair Bldg (former Blackberry Lane). We welcome your attendance and suggestions. Volunteers An event this size needs lots of man power and we are counting on our alumni to help out and we thank you in advance. 50 fellow alumni volunteers are needed for only 2hour time periods during the event. Consider volunteering your high school age children who currently attend UCity….one day this will be for them! To volunteer please reply to this email or contact Marilyn Ray Williams at 314.732.9951 or at lynndray@... with time during the day you would like to volunteer in a 2 hour increment starting at 10am and ending at 8pm. Vendors If you have a craft, food item or service that you would like to offer consider being a vendor. There is a fee of $75 and you must provide your own generators for electricity, shelter, tables, chairs, etc. You may set up as early as 8am. We will inform potential attendees by email, flyers and/or postings of vendors and their offerings. If interested, forward your name or business name, item or service you are offering, phone #, email address, street address, contact person and your $75 check or money order payable to UCHSAA to: UCHS AA, Annual Picnic Vendor, and 8136 Groby Rd., UCity, MO 63130. Softball Softball is always in order at a picnic and we want to see how many of you still have it!
