This is an independent list run as a forum for the discussion of Ásatrú Lore, both ancient and modern. This group will seek to provide a lesson-plan for novices who wish to learn more about our ancestral lore, discussion and debate of the issues raised, and a platform for more advanced students to present their own research. It is intended that participation in this list will generate greater interest and investigation into the vast lore of heathen Germanic tradition, including language, literature, poetry, mythology, archaeology, history, arts crafts, etc.

It is expected that the issues raised will range far and wide, but members are advised to stick to issues of lore as much as is possible - there are other lists for more general or specific Ásatrú issues. This list is unmoderated, and although it is expected that debate on some issues may become heated, personal attacks and dishonourable conduct will be dealt with by the list owner or moderater, so please, think before you post and keep it civil.
