Welcome to the Half Moon Bay Boy Scout Troop 263 website for scouts and parents! This site is a tool to help our troop run more efficiently through better information access and management. We hope that it serves to help scouts, leaders and families learn about our troop and its activities and to develop a stronger community among all participants.

Troop 263 is an active Boy Scout troop located in Half Moon Bay, CA. We are part of the Pacific Skyline Council of the Boy Scouts of America. We have excellent leadership and an active agenda.

We try to plan at least one overnight trip a month. In addition to a week-long summer camp every year, we plan a "big adventure" every other year. These trips have included a two-week trip in Alaska and a backpacking/river rafting trip in Utah with visits to a dinosaur fossil bone dig and Native American archaeological sites.

In addition to our outdoor outings, we are involved in serving our community through a variety of activities including an annual food drive.

Besides having a great time, we are serious about helping scouts get the most they can out of the scouting program. Over the years we have worked together to help scouts earn merit badges and advance through the ranks of scouting. Many of our members have earned their eagle rank and many are on track to do so in the future.
