Hello all -- new to the group!
Here's my question for science fiction fans, kinky people, or just curious types
-- anybody interested in mixing sex and technology? By that, I mean things like:
sex machines, sexually-charged science fiction, online porn, robots, high-tech
sex toys, and so much more?
I'm asking because I've been exploring these things lately. And I discovered two
books put out by RE/Search Publications about sex + technology. One of the books
is called Pronnovation and the other is called Do Androids Sleep with Electric
Sheep.
If you've never heard of the books (strange in a good way & definitely
recommended), here are the links with more info:

Write me, email me, whatever. I live a quiet life & would like to connect with
people, whether or not concerning these topics... I would also like to discuss
the books, and certain essays in particular.
Thanks,
Anita
When a real Kami came out of the Lucky Cat statuette that Harry O'Hara had
bought in a dusty little antique shop in Atlanta, and promptly dropped and
broke, he was shocked.
He was delighted however when the Maneki Neko told him it was a Kami of travel
and as a reward for freeing it, would take him on a grand tour of the spirit's
homeland, Harry agreed, and in a flash the Kami took off with Harry in tow so
fast that his shoes were left smoking behind.
The next thing Harry knew he found he had landed barefoot in a park in Japan, he
also found that during the trip the Kami had turned him both into a Japanese
person and a woman! "What's the deal?" asked Haruka in perfect Japanese "Oh, I
forget to add," said the Kami, "I specialize in protecting women when they
travel, so in order to let you travel with me I had to turn you into one." "I
see… I think," said Haruka "and you made me Japanese because?" "because why not?
I mean who wouldn't want to be? And anyway you get to see more when you fit in,"
replied the Kami, "I'm stuck like this?" asked Haruka, "stuck is kind of harsh
don't you think?" asked the little spirit, "tell you what, I'll take you on a
nice little tour and you wait and see, you'll enjoy yourself, and then I'll take
you back where you came from, drop you right back in your shoes, and I'll even
turn you back into a Gaijin, how does that sound?" Giving it all a long deep
thought Harry decided that traveling around Asia for free was too good an
opportunity to pass up, and if he had to do it as Haruka Hara… well, that could
be fun as well.
And with that Haruka and the Maneki Neko, which took the form of a small black
and white cat that everyone was polite enough to ignore did a lot of talking to
the woman she was with, where off on their travels.
With the help of the kami, who both saw to it that Haruka always had enough
money, and adjusted her looks, making her older or younger or to look a little
different as the need arose, Harry O'Hara found he got into the role of being a
Japanese woman on holiday with remarkable speed.
At first her choice of clothing was perhaps a little extreme, but that was to be
expected from a man dressing a woman's body while thinking like a man.
So to get Haruka a little more grounded in being a Japanese woman the Maneki
Neko saw to it that she spent some time going though the modern equivalent of
geisha, and the months it took to do that got Harry's quite male and very
Western mind tacking along on a more Nipponese and feminine course.
So after the training the kami took Haruka Hara on little excursions as an
everyday Japanese citizen, as a Japanese business woman, a rather transitional
senior lady, a high school student, and then as a tourist from China just for a
change pace, It was during the week that Haruka was larking about going between
cos-play get-togethers and the denizens of Harajuku street that something
occurred to her inner Harry.
"Wait a minute!" said Haruka to the little black and white cat following her,
"how long has this been going on?" "couple three months," said the kami "couple
three, are you sure?" asked Haruka "alright, eleven months next Thursday,"
"almost a year!" shouted Haruka realizing for the first time that the little
spirit had done something so she wouldn't notice how much time had passed. "Hey,
you're fun," explained the kami, "in fact I think I'd like to pick up some more
of you Yank fellows and treat them to a vacation, working with you has given me
the hang of it."
Haruka however was not listening to the kami by that point, "well that's it! Do
what you promised and send me back to the states and put everything back like it
was, down to putting me back in the shoes I was wearing!" "it's been a year I
doubt those smelly old…" the kami started to say "I don't care, send me back!"
demanded Haruka, "Okay, I'll do my best," said the Maneki Neko, and with a pop
Haruka disappeared off Harajuku street heading for Peachtree Street.
And the little spirit did the best she could, but it had been almost a year, and
Harry's old shoes had long been tossed in the garbage, but she found the closest
pair that looked like what he had been wearing that she could find.
That the high-tops she found were women's was not her fault, that while she did
turn Haruka back into a Gaijin, but left Harry female was her doing, but as she
was a kami of protecting women while they traveled that can be understood.
Harriet O'Hara just sighed, picked herself up and said "oh well, it's not like
I'm not use to this by now."
The kami was by then off looking for another Westerner to have fun with. "I bet
I can get the next one to stay full time!" she thought.

Life is full of unexpected change and challenges, Kenneth MacDougall, the last
lard of the East Ougen clan MacDougall knew this.
That while out hunting he would be punished for taking a whiz against the home a
278 year old witch named Maggie Hedgewit by being changed from a 42 year old 6
foot 2 inch man, into a 5 foot tall 19 year old girl however was not one of the
changes he had ever thought he might have to deal with.
The next change after that was getting use to the revelation that was Maggie the
Witch.
First of all the old ruin he thought he was relieving him against was not a ruin
at all, the state of disrepair and abandonment it seemed to be in was a mere
"glamour" caste by Maggie on what it turned out was not the haunt of an old
ghostly hag legend, but the well appointed bungalow a women who, while over two
century's old, looked to be in her 40's, and who used the place to recharge her
batteries in the land of her birth.
And where did she spent the time she was not doing this recharging? In the midst
of London running a multimillion Pound fashion empire.
Which after Maggie had gotten Kenneth out of his now far too large hunting
outfit, and into some of her chic clothing, which now fit the former lard
perfectly, Maggie announced that `she' from now on was Kennae May Dougall, and
her horridly underpaid assistant.
Leaving and seeing his former estates for the last time Kennae soon found
herself bouncing between two chaotic worlds, the world of high fashion, where
she had to deal daily with a women who now all towered over her, and little
missions for Maggie in the "other real" world of secret wizards, sorcereress and
mystic whatever that might find Kennae shipped off to the wilds of Mongolia,
dressed in the latest fashion of course, to retrieve some mystic dagger or
enchanted watch fob.
But it was not all Maggie Hedgewit and her two empires, there was, from time to
time, a little Kenneth time, or as close to it as Kennae could get.
While she missed her riding boots and smoking jackets she did meet one of
Maggie's other helpers, a former water nymph Nylene who had been turned into the
witches' human secretary.
Those two got on famously, and Nylene didn't mind at all when Kennae got all
"Kennethie" letting herself get all scruffy and "boys night out Scottish" and
the like during their time together.
And this relationship did in the end help Kennae comes to terms with her still
present inner Kenneth and his new body of as Kennae.
And while Kennae never really was able to get back into his old hunting boots,
she was able to substitute a new sort of hunting boot for her new self.

While shopping for a birthday present for their mother in a dusty old antiques
shop brother and sister Samuel, 23 and Natalie Marston 20, found of all things a
bottle with a for real live genie in it.
This to say the least delighted them, however as always seems to be the case
with such plot contrivances… ah creatures of myth and wonder, the wishes this
genie granted had very specific rules.
"As two of you released me you each get one wish only, but the wish will come
true not for the wish maker but for the other person, while the third and last
wish must be made for someone else altogether.
"We've got to think long and hard about this," said Samuel, to which impulsive,
selfish and more than slightly shallow Natalie replied "I wish I had a top of
the line Grutonie bag!" and with a ping Samuel found himself holding one of the
most expensive handbags then on the market. "see, you've got that fabulous bag,
now you can give it to me! Smart huh?" said the excited Natalie lustfully eye
the leather accessory. "Oh that's just great, what a waste!" exclaimed the angry
Samuel, who had a bad habit of not thinking straight when irate, putting his
head in his hands he muttered without thinking "I wish you were the fabulous old
bag," his head snapped up the second he said that in the hope he could shout
"take back - TAKE BACK!" before anything happened.
But the genie had already acted and Samuel was given the wish he had
inadvertently aimed at Natalie.
"Holy crap Sam!" said Natalie looking at her brother where he had been knocked
back into the restaurant booth they were sharing, the bag hung on one of the new
heels he was wearing, "You look just like Madonna! You know you look pretty good
for 50."
"Oh man this is CRAZY!" shouted Madonna/Samuel in the fortunately empty eatery.
"We only have one wish left and we have to make it for someone else, we can't
wish this away, I'm stuck!"
"No wait I have an idea!" said Natalie, and as she had with the first wish she
made it without either talking about it first or really for that matter even
thinking about it.
And both she and her transformed former brother popped out of the restaurant.
"Crazy damn celebrities." said the lone bored waiter who had been watching from
across the room waiting for them to look like they were ready to order.
Natalie's wish had been "I wish Mom was changed so she had the answer and the
ability to make this all better."
Her thought was that their mother would end up with some sort of magic power
that could fix things, what the genie did instead was turn their mother into the
world's best agent for celebrity impersonators, as well as a super expert at
giving makeovers.
So after turning Natalie into a vision of the 20 year old Madonna to go with
Samuel's 50 year old version (ironically a year older than Mrs. Marston) they
were headed out on their new careers in show business as "The Marston Material
Girls, Then & Now."
Samuel kept the Grutonie bag.

Kenneth MacDougall, last of the East Ougen MacDougall's, was all for the old
traditions of his clan, riding and hunting and swaggering and the like, but he
drew the line at buying into all of them, such as the one that said you should
never set foot on the land surrounding what was known as Old Maggie's Cottage,
an old ruin far out in the hinterland of the family holdings, abandoned since no
one knew when, and which family lore said was the haunt of the frightful old
witch, Green Maggie Hedgewit.
While out hunting and finding he had the need to relieve himself he not only
stepped onto the land, he stepped right up to the old ruin, which he noticed to
his surprise looked less like a ruin the closer he got, and that it even had a
satellite dish!
Determined to look into this further Kenneth took care of first things first and
let go with a strong yellow stream against the old structure.
"We'll see what a lad gets who dares insult Maggie's dwelling by pointing and
using his pee-stick against it!" Shouted a harsh female voice from behind
Kenneth.
Turning his head with a jerk he saw an angry women of uncertain age racing up on
him down the path he had just come up a few moments before, a small women, the
top of her head barely reached to just below his shoulders.
"Ahhh… this is MacDougall land your on madam," said Kenneth trying to hid his
shock with indignation, or to show his embarrassment on being found by this
women in the position he was in, whoever she was, with his peter in his hand.
But still he did have his back to her and so decided to put himself back
together as swiftly and surreptitiously as possible and deal with this mad
intruder on his land like the lard he was.
To Kenneth's surprise he found that apparently his penis had been obliging
enough to put itself away without him needing to tuck it away.
"Not the big `lad' you were when you started your defacing are you now?" said
the woman from behind him. Kenneth could hear the quotes in her voice.
Having quickly buttoned up he turned around to find that strangely enough while
the woman had not moved from the place where he had first seen her he was now
looking her straight in the eye.
"or should I saw lass?" said Maggie putting her hands on her hips and smiling.
At a loss for what to say Kenneth was about to make another demand as to who she
was when his formerly rather tight hunting trousers fell down from the much
smaller female frame that Maggie had given Kenneth before he was even done with
his business against her country home.
But changing Kenneth from a 42 year old 6 foot 2 inch Lord of the Manor, to a 5
foot tall 19 year old girl was only the first of the changes Maggie had in store
for her.

Here is an odd little offering, it's called In Love for the Mood and was made in
2009.
It is set in Hong Kong in the 60s, in it director Ming Wong casts the same
Caucasian actress in the roles of the two star-crossed lovers, originally played
by Maggie Cheung and Tony Leung,.
The Actress, who is a student from New Zealand studying in Hong Kong, does not
speak Cantonese and so repeats the lines as best she can going from prompting
from the director.
Don't know where you can see it, but here is a page with a few pictures.
