This group was created for parents in the Golden Trianlge area of Southeast Texas (Beaumont, Port Arthur, Orange) who are or are considering homeschooling or unschooling their children. Included in this group are local cities near the Triangle, such as Nederland, Lumberton and Winnie. This group is ONLY open to parents in these areas. There is ample state and nation wide support on other lists.

The function of this group is to put home and un-schooling families that may not fit in with the groups already formed in these areas in touch with one another to share information, support, and resources from pre-school through high-school. Members here may discuss on-topic subjects, and related topics, such as parenting, health and wellness of the children and family, etc... Off topic discussions should be kept to a minimum. As desired, meetings and playdates may be scheduled. Members are strongly encouraged to participate in group events and onlist.

This group is non-denominational and open to all families in the area who are or are considering educating their children outside of the public school system. We welcome alternative parenting philosophies, religious preferences and lifestyles.
