This group is for announcements and discussion relating to Waltzing and Vintage Dancing in the Triangle area (Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill, North Carolina) or other events within travel distance. Vintage Dance tends to refer to dancing of the 1860s to the 1920s and includes participatory dances such as Victorian waltz, polka, schottische, and mazurka, as well as Ragtime one-step, foxtrot, tango, and Charleston. Cross-Step Waltz and Swing dance are also included at some "Mostly Waltz" dances.

Triangle Vintage Dance runs a Mostly Waltz dance on occasional Saturday evenings, once every 2-4 months, at Triangle Dance Studio, 2603 Miami Blvd, as well as a big Victorian Ball at the Carrboro Century Center (next one is Sep. 2009). No partner is required.

Lessons are offered on some Tuesday nights at Legacy Studios on North Duke Street in Durham, NC (Fall/Winter/Spring).
