Description

No basement?
No Garage?
No room for modules?

No Problem!

Shelf Railroads may be your answer. They can be placed on bookshelves, bookcases, desks, counters, just about anywhere you have a little space. They are great for those in apartments and condos, where the management won't give you the real estate you need for a larger layout.

On this forum we can explore special lightweight construction techniques, track plans, ultra detailing, sound effects, scratchbuilding, appropriate structures built to fit, trackwork, wiring, special lighting effects and more..... Come share your experiences and pictures!

Create a layout that will be fun to build and to operate. A layout that will be a virtual piece of art in your home, and one that will be noticed and get others enthused about building their own Shelf Railroad.

Photo Credit: Kinsey: Shafer Bros. Logging, Camp 3. Would make part of a nice shelf scene in very little room. Plenty of scratch building practice too!.
