The West Bethesda community in the general vicinity of Walt Whitman High School confronts numerous challenges related to traffic safety and congestion. These challenges are greatly complicated by the rapidly increasing residential and commercial density in Bethesda and the surrounding region that relies on local commuting corridors, particularly River Road.

This Group is dedicated to fostering discussion and circulating information about the traffic problems we face, potential solutions, and governmental proposals to reconfigure our roadways. Specifically, we hope to work together to promote projects that improve safety and reduce congestion, while opposing those that are ill-considered, and would cause more harm than good.
