An Introduction to the CBRS
(Conner's Behavior Rating Scales)
by
Danielle M. Politi, Ed. S., NCSP
The all-new Conners Comprehensive Behavior Rating Scales™ (Conners CBRS™) is an
instrument designed to give you a complete overview of child and adolescent
disorders and concerns. School psychologists can now use the Conners CBRS to
assess a wide spectrum of behaviors, emotions, and academic problems in today's
youth.
The Conners CBRS includes the DSM-IV-TR™ symptom scales, empirical and rational
scales, as well as other clinical indicators and critical and impairment items.
The age range suitable for this assessment is 6–18 for parent and teacher forms
and 8–18 for self-report forms.
The Conners CBRS is a comprehensive multi-informant tool that:
* Assists in the diagnosis.
* Assists in the identification of students for inclusion or exclusion in
special education.
* Assists in the development of behavior intervention treatment plans.
* Monitors student's response to intervention/treatment.
* Evaluates the effectiveness of intervention/ treatment plans
* * Spanish versions available for parent and self-report forms.
* Offers Computer Scoring
* Offers direct and clear links to the DSM-IV-TR and IDEA.
* Straightforward administration, scoring and reports.
