Hi Toqua,

We are off to a good start with this year's Scouting for Food drive. A
thank you for the units that have collected food and have distributed bags.
A reminder that there is a collection point for smaller quantities of bags
at Farragut Middle School on Saturday from 9-12. If you have a large
amount, please take it directly to the council office for the Second
Harvest truck. If no one is there when you arrive, deposit the food on the
loading dock that is on the left side of the building. Once you are done,
complete the tally sheet and send in to the council office. We need the
tally sheet no matter where you donated the food, whether to Second Harvest
or a church pantry.

A quick story that might help some of the younger Scouts. A lone Wolf
Scout was at a store and was having trouble in figuring what to say in
asking people to donate food. He finally said "would you like to help feed
the hungry"? This is what we are doing, pure and simple. Please pass this
on in the case there is another Scout that might need some encouragement.
