That is a sad assessment of the beauty of the cacti in bloom. I have seen things more on the order of fluorescent yellows, oranges and magentas. The plants are
a matter of taste, i guess! actually, i find opuntiad flowers to rank amongst the nicest of cactus flowers, a family which has lovely flowers as a whole! and
