The Toledo Area BoardSailing Association(TABA) is one of the oldest windsurfing clubs in the USA. Formed originally as Fleet 151 back in the 70's, renamed to the Black Swamp BoardSailors then renamed again in the late 80's to the Toledo Area BoardSailing Association to better note our location. TABA is a very loose knit group of Toledo area windsurfers. During the summer sailing season TABA members try to meet up late Wednesday afternoons at our favorite windsurfing launch Maumee Bay State Park located just 8 miles east of downtown Toledo. We windsurf the wide open expanses of Lake Erie. Though TABA has few official club events each year members do organize Hatteras trips amongst themselves and several are active in windsurf racing.
