FRIENDS OF THEERAM.

This is the fellowship of people with a vision and all who ascribe to this vision are welcome.

The vision is to help people with Special Needs to stand on their own feet and function as useful members of the society,under the guidance of INDIA CENTER FOR SOCIAL CHANGE(ICSC) . The mission is to provide them vocational training in addition to emotional support and guidance in daily living, to groom them to be valuable assets of the family and the society.
ICSC is a viable instrument of social change with focus on people with intellectual disabilities and other developmental disabilities in India.
It is a non-governmental charitable organization that is registered under the Government of India Charitable Act in 2002, and has been working among the children with developmental disabilities in the economically poor and socially isolated villages of India for the past four years. Till now there are 12 'Theerams',the centers dedicated to develop the different abilities in these special individuals. So far only day centers have been set up.
Responding to requests of parents and relatives from all over, a residential facility is planned which will be self supporting.
