This is a group for those who live in or have an interest in yurts. Yurts, or "gers" are the traditional round-house tents of Mongolia. ONLY yurt-related postings are allowed. Some leeway will be given to connected topics, such as tipis, homesteading, wood heating, etc. The ONLY solicitation allowed will be for the buying, selling or trading of yurt-related products. Please feel free to list your oriental rugs, pot-bellied stoves, etc. here. Now let's talk yurts!

Re: anybody done a basement?
For a anything room to be called a "bedroom" it must have a window or door for an egress. If it does not, code in most states will not permit it to be used

A while back there was a posting about using 2 shipping containers for a quick and easy basement/cellar/garage setup. Basically park 2 containers 8-10 ft
