The Virgin Mary, goddess like, has been adored by and has received prayers from Christians for centuries. Both the Roman Catholic and Eastern Orthodox Churches have seen Mary as the Queen of Heaven, the Mother of God, the Lady of Mercy, etc for over a thousand years. These Churches have consistently seen Mary as having a status higher than that of the rest of humanity but yet not as part of the Trinity. Gnostics, Pagans, and various heterodox Christians such as the Mariavites on the other hand have often seen her as the Holy Spirit, as the Sophia / Wisdom of God or as simply a goddess.

This group provides a place in which all persons regardless of their religions and theologies can discuss all things regarding Mary. Hymns, personal experiences, and thoughts about Mary can all be shared here. Dialogues regarding the theological status of Mary in Christian theology and her relationship to the religious ideas and goddesses of Paganism and other religious belief systems are encouraged. Of course all persons who simply want to know more about Mary are welcome as well.

We want passionate converation here, the only rule being that rude, disrepectful, and arrogant behavior will not be permitted.
