Recently, I have received several emails from Course Students asking
questions re how the Course Curriculum speaks to various
relationship problems they currently experience in their life
...or about A Course in Miracles itself.

I have Truly enJOYed answering this mail and invite You to
post here...any questions or life experiences which
you wish to hear what ACIM says re them.

All questions and the replys will be posted, UNLESS, you
specifically request that your question be kept private, by emailing
it directly to me and requesting a personal direct reply to you.
Of course, anyone wishing to reply to you out of their own Course
experience or similar life experience is welcome to do so.

Understanding that ALL MINDS ARE JOINED...when Truth is
shared...when we receive Healing...we are not Healed alone. As the
Course guides us...bring the dark shadows into the Light...and it
will disappear.

So your question may be exactly what another needs to hear...and has
not asked yet..

It is a Gift to Your Brother, who is You! For we are ONE.

YES Roberta, There is a Santa Claus...and usually it's someone from
our "traditional nuclear family"....and to be expected in a world
made by the ego to separate out and make special...

Yet, we can choose to see that it is also ...PERFECT...for what
better "classroom" could we make that could provide us with so many
opportunities to learn True Forgiveness..and hone our ability to
recognize and distinguish which --- "teacher" or Teacher we are
listening to, as we perceive our Brothers and Sisters as mirrors of
our Self.

Projection makes perception as the Course says...and we are Always
Blessed at this Season...to Choose the Teacher that would Help us
Give Birth to The Innocent Child Within Us All during this time of
Celebration of the ReBirth of the Christ in Us ALL.

We all JOYn with you in your big belly laugh...for as in all things
of this dreamworld...a LITTLE LAUGHTER NOW, SAVES LIFETIMES LATER!

Greetings holy brothers and sisters....

Welcome,

Our coming together gives us a precious opportunity to question
perceptions, interpretations, and underlying beliefs and assumptions,
all of which are based on the past, and thus uncover and experience
the present moment in which we are joined as One. There is
no "personal" interpretation or opinion. It is the Holy Spirit's
interpretation of a forgiven world that is a bright reflection of
Abstract  Reality!

Though each seeming person appears to have unique personality traits,
past history, skills and abilities, appearance, education, and "life
situations," the Holy Spirit's goal or purpose is one. As we hold a
strong intention of learning that goal, the demarcations and
distinctions and roles and concepts which seemed to separate and
divide us from one another fade and grow dim and disappear. Those who
desire to "know thy Self" would learn the same lesson and
share the same goal of Awakening from the dream of the world of fear
and death.

As one raises to awareness and releases limiting beliefs and
definitions, one can EXPERIENCE the lasting peace that comes from
true forgiveness--holding in mind the Holy Spirit's single purpose.
Initially, this seems to be very abstract and quite a stretch.
Holding to such a purpose, it turns out, requires a tremendous
discipline of the mind (mind training) and a relinquishment of all
other purposes. This seems, to the untrained mind, to be very, very
difficult because the untrained mind believes in the reality of the
physical as surely as it believes that separate goals are necessary
to meet the many seeming different levels of need. Yet perceiving
separate levels of need is a very basic error, and it leads to
searching for solutions within these separate levels. This searching
is the purpose for which the world was made, but the ego is all that
seems to search, and the answers the world offers to the identity
questions of the ego but veil the True Answer within the Mind: You
are the Holy Son of God, created in Spirit, perfect, eternal,
infinite, changeless Love Itself. Such is the remembrance of Self as
Christ in the Mind of God.

Subject: Opening to Forgiveness

First we learn we only seemed to be upset because of harboring
erroneous attack thoughts, though in releasing them we see our sudden
happiness and laughter is a true experience of the Lightness and Love
and Laughter that is our Spirit! Laughter is the result of unlearning
the ego way of thinking and perceiving.

It is a miracle to let go of grievances by allowing memories and
beliefs and judgments to surface in awareness and then letting them
go. This is forgiveness--when the temptation to perceive yourself as
unfairly treated arises, surrender the thought, the perspective, the
desire to be "right" about the way it was "set up" or seemed to be,
and let go into the miracle. As this becomes our habit, being a
miracle worker is happily discovered as our function in all
situations!

We are joined in the Purpose of forgiveness, and I am grateful this
is so. We shall rise together and Be Free, for such is God's Plan.
And God's Plan cannot fail, being the only Plan that will work. Amen.

We Gather Together Once Again to GIVE THANKS this Holiday, the same

I see the opportunity to sit down at Our ThanksGiving Table, another

Of course we will hear our mind's voice tell us that this person is
that ...and that person is this...and we can remember that We Have A
Choice...to CHANGE Our Teacher...and Hear from ONE THAT KNOWS...that
We are ONE..and the Same.  LOVE ONLY KNOWS ITSELF...and there is
nothing outside of LOVE...For what is ALL-ENCOMPASSING can have no
opposite.

SO...as the Course says...Teaching is to demonstrate.

I find this message beautiful and yes, poignant too. In our dream we
see others, to whom Stephen must be addressing when he says that his
words cannot convey, because those who have experienced what he
conveys, do Know.

Stephen's writing, the dawning of Thanksgiving and Bethies lovely
offering of lighting a candle bring together for me a story of a man,
for a time, apparently lost, who I happened upon on a Thanksgiving
day. In fact for another interesting link, somehow in this group has
reminded me that she and I talked that day.

This gentleman was hitchhiking and I stopped and he said "you don't
know who you are picking up"  He got in and we ate a meal together
and he told me his story. He seemed to be wandering the earth and in
a great deal of psychic pain, caught in his dream, his life.

In the one story, he was the leader of a squad of soldiers who were
ordered to go into a embassy "without arms" and he knew something of
what the political motive was for his orders and he also knew that he
and his men were to be shot. He went against orders and there was a
shoot-out and he was court-martialed.

His second story seemed to me to be his sticking point and it was
about being "good" He was passionately attached to his goodness in
this one regard. As he said, "kids and kritters, I cannot stand for
cruelty against them."

And then he told me why he was wandering. He had taken a man out to
the desert and executed him. He told me that the man had begged him
for his life, and yet he shot him anyway. Why? Because the man had
raped his wife. Why (that was not about a kid or a kritter)?  His
wife was carrying a child. And so this man seemed to wander a world
that had forsaken him and did not understand his "goodness"

We may wander away from any of out paths home. My sense, as I looked
at this man, was of an image, of a Christian Jesus, in one who has
become to stuck to one particular image within that faith. The image
is the good Jesus, nailed to a cross, asking, for a moment, "Father,
why have you forsaken me?"

We spent the day together and other than listening I did have the one
thing to do. When he returned, in his talking, to the man in the
desert again, I said, very softly, "he was a child too"

Poignant day.

In that time I had many transformative experiences and came to know
the peace that the Course offers. I can't say that I'm always at
peace, but I know the place of peace within myself and have the
tools the Course provides to return to peace whenever I find myself
in hell. I'm not in hell very often these days and never for long,
for which I am very grateful.

Here's what I'm certain about. I'm certain these words will never
express the beauty, the holiness, the unending bliss, the peace that
passes understanding, that I experience when in communion with my
Father, with Whom I am one. I'm certain my words will fail to
express the gratitude I feel when I remember how far I have been
lifted up, how gentle was the hand that led me, how lovely was the
vision that was given me, how ecstatic the feeling of oneness the
presence of Jesus brings, how joyful the song in my heart when I
know that I am one with my brother, reconciled with him, eager to
share with him this song of love, this bread of life, this living
water.

Nothing I say or write, I know this without doubt, will ever be able
to convey the joy I feel at the knowledge of my Father and His Will
for me, and the total satisfaction I feel at being aligned with His
Will, which I know to be mine as well in truth, or the gladness of
my heart at the miracle of forgiveness when two who once held each
other apart in anger and attack are suddenly made one, able to let
go of old hurt and blame and embrace each other in a newness of love
that surpasses in its white intensity all the passion of rage that
was there before, so that the rage is forgotten and the dawn of a
new sun of love rises to replace the fearful darkness.

How delightful is the knowledge that forgiveness works, that in
practising it I am following in the footsteps of the greatest master
who ever lived, and that though I follow haltingly and limpingly I
follow surely to a certainty of heaven! How great is the mastery of
my elder brother Jesus and how loving and kind are his words and his
thoughts who came to me in my greatest need and showed me that
forgiveness is the key to happiness and that total happiness was all
God ever wanted for me! And I know nothing can tell you, my dearly
beloved brothers throughout the world, how I yearn for this to be
the experience of all of you, and know that only time stands in the
way, only illusion can delay the inevitable joining of all of you
with me, as we are joined now in this song of praise to my Father,
in which I hear your harmonies, transcending the limits of time,
coming to me in strains of loveliness beyond imagining, telling me
that all is one, all is one, that time cannot separate us, though it
may seem to have effects. In this song there is no time, there is no
world, there is no pain, there is no death.

Heavenly Father, thank you.

Mind. David H. just completed an exciting weekend speaking and
Joining with Like Minds in NYC. It was Truly a ONEderful Gathering.
He shared with people at the central location as well as Coffee
Houses and shops in the surrounding area.. Shouting I LOVE YOU thru
the streets of NYC WOW!!! Such Love & Light resonating throughout the
phone conversation as well :-)

SOOOO TRUE ROBERTA....

YES...when we REMEMBER OUR TRUE PURPOSE FOR BEING HERE...and let go
of all the stuff we placed there...our wants, hopes, dreams that if
the world was what it was...then I want "this and that".

I know that you have seen thru all of this...and Your Loving Message
is a Gentle Re-Minder for ALL OF US...that when we recognize that
this world is an upside-down version of Reality...and we release our
Self from the "mind that believes in the upside down version"...
that we can OPEN THE SPACE...to let the LIGHT DAWN...on Our True
Purpose Here...

As you point out..no need to look up...we only need to look to the
Closest Brother and Sister to us...and See Our ONEness..and the Love
and Beauty in them....to begin the process...of Recognizing Our
Purpose and True Identity...

AT THANKSGIVING TIME...we seem to be given a new opportunity to see
many of the people in our lives..AGAIN....and we CAN CHOOSE to see
them ...AS THEY TRULY ARE...not what we may have "judged" them in
some insane moment when we "knew not who we were"....and why we are
here.

Use this Holiday..as YOUR HOLY DAY....to Remember Our HOLINESS..and
Innocence...in a dream designed to tell us the opposite.  When we see
Share the Same Interest..as the people around the Thanksgiving Day

again.

Today my lesson is 226  My home awaits me. I will hasten there.

my Spiritual Awakening. I feel very blessed that we have studied the
lessons during this entire year. I have come to a deeper
understanding of the Course with this intense study...and sharing
that takes place in the ACIM2000 and Teachers of God (TOG) Chat
rooms. This Course is not about perfection, but about the Wholeness
and Graciousness that arises from an Open Heart & Open Mind creating
space for forgiveness and healing as we step back and allow Him to
lead the way. As we recognize that "ONLY THE LOVE IS REAL" it becomes
a Gift...Christ's Vision...And as the Course promises we will
eventually see the entire world bathed in the Reflection of God's
Light & Love.
