My name is Judi, and I wanted to introduce myself to the group. I am a little
new at this on Yahoo:). I am a paralegal student and soon will be graduating in
March with an Associate of Science in Paralegal studies. I am currently living
in Fortworth Texas but would like to relocate back home to Orlando, FL once I
graduate. I would like some feedback on how I can start this transition to
relocate to Orlando and find a job out there. I am employed now as a secretary
at a college for two years and have gained clerical skills. I am in the process
of joining various Paralegal Associations and have started volunteering as a
case worker. Please feel free to share your thoughts. Thank you! :)

We have a med-mal case coming up, and my boss asked me about an unusual exhibit.  We would like to show the jury how much time elapsed between the time the plaintiff was admitted to the hospital and the time he actually had surgery.  We thought about an actual clock where he could move the hands as he was summarizing what took place or poster boards.  I suggested a powerpoint presentation, but he's an "old school" lawyer and would rather do it like Matlock.  Any suggestions?

Margaret Cho to Portray Paralegal in New Series
2009 PG Calendar

Comedian and actress Margaret Cho, who plays smart-mouthed paralegal Teri Lee in the US series, says the show is a natural response to the shallow portrayal of women on television. "I think we, as a collective of women, started to feel invisible in the world of The Hills and Gossip Girl," she says, "so this show is responding to something. It addresses that need to feel visible, to see women who look like ourselves. There's just so much out there that isn't for women in a positive way." (Read More>>>)

I have used it in the past, not by choice, but because the BIGLaw firm I worked for had it. I have seen worse. I could access and use it from home, but it always saved the signature line as our Miami office and not our Jacksonville  office. Annoying to say the least! Anything I did from home, I would have to go back in from the office and change. UGH  Only one person could be in a case doc at a time, and it went down frequently.  When I would go in to schedule the ticklers, it had a habit of sending out 6 or 7 of the same thing instead of just "one". However, that was in 2004, and they may have improved it by now.
