The Hexerei tradition was never xtian, but remained embedded in the folk religious aspects of our Germanic ancestors. Hex images trace their origin back to the magico-religious practice of making peckings on cliffs and paintings in caves of geometric symbols and animals started around 40, 000 years ago with Cro Magnon man in what is known today as Europe.
