I need to address a situation that has been brought to my attention.
I've been told by several authors and writers that there is some
negative talk about The Wild Rose Press on some loops like romance
divas and there's another one that I don't remember right now.
Anyway, the talk has been nasty and spiteful and while I have not
read the posts from what I"ve been told its become quite the bashing.
First of all, RJ and I have never had secrets in this company. We
are open and communicate with our authors and writers as much as we
possibly can about everything that happens here. We explain what we
do and why we do it all the time. I routinely ask on our loops if
anyone needs anything, has questions or has a problem. I want to
hear from you if you do. That's the first thing.
Second, we are not quite two years old so the comparing that folks
are doing between us and other companies is really ludicrous
considering they are putting us up against folks like Ellora's Cave.
I am not going to go on those loops and respond to anything. I am
not going to stoop to the level of this talk and get into a verbal
sparring defending our company.
I'm quite certain those who have had a positive experience with us
will rise up and speak and even if they don't, I'm still not losing
sleep over this. I know how important the trust you have all placed
in us is, whether you are a buyer of our stories or an author. I
take that very seriously and I simply want to assure you that
contrary to whatever you hear "out there", RJ and I and our staff are
committed to all of you to give you the best we have to give.
We started this company by writers for writers and we remain
steadfast and true to our mission to grow writers, to help writers
and to publish a quality book that readers will enjoy.
