This group is dedicated to the characters created by Robert E Howard that have appeared in comic book form from Marvel Comics,Dark Horse Comics, Dynamite Entertainment,Cross Plains Comics etc.

Conan,and his creator Robert E Howard,was the reason for my return to comics in the early 70's through the Roy Thomas and Barry Windsor-Smith run on Marvel's Conan the Barbarian . Later of course Smith was followed by the legendary John Buscema.Of special interest,though were the articles by Roy,Glenn Lord,Fred Blosser,Robert Yaple,Jim Neal etc.that appeared in Savage Tales and Savage Sword of Conan . These articles helped put me in touch with the man behind the stories and his life.

The success of the Conan Dark Horse series by Kurt Busiek,Cary Nord,Greg Ruth,Thomas Yeates,Dave Stewart and Mike Mignola has led to Limited Series'/One-Shots from the likes of P.Craig Russell,Joe Lansdale,Akira Yoshida,Pat Lee,Joshua Dysart,Tone Rodriguez,Len Wein,Kelley Jones,Jimmy Palmiotti and Mark Texeira.

Timothy Truman has taken up the writing duties on the on-going title with art now from Tomąs Giorello.

Dark Horse's Kull by Arvid Nelson and Will Conrad and Solomon Kane by Scott Allie and Mario Guevara have now joined the line-up of REH titles.

Along with an updated version of Pigeons from Hell by Joe Lansdale and Nathan Fox.

New Red Sonja stories are also coming from Dynamite Entertainment by various creative teams.

Although I'm sure names such as DeCamp,Carter,Schwarzenegger,Milius etc. may crop up at times I very much hope that,more importantly,members will find the "real " Howard through his work that's now appearing from Wandering Star,Del Rey,Wildside Press,Bison Books and Gollancz,as well as magazines,articles etc. put out by those in Howard fandom.
