Description
This week's picture - Rest in Peace, Dennis Pratt, son of one of our Oklahoma members. Dennis joined the Army so that his young sons might not have to go to war. May God watch over this family.
MORE THAN A HALF MILLION HUGS!!! - 671,000"Hugs" 152,000 "Kisses" shipped to troops since June 2004 more than 205 TONS of care package items since Jan. 2005. The Hugs Project is committed to improving life for our dedicated U.S. Military.
Our "mission" is to give a "hug" (handmade items for warmth or cooling depending on season) to every American serving in the Middle East. We want every deployed troop American civilian to know we support their mission to protect our freedoms and to provide freedom to the people of the Middle East. This is our way of saying "Thank you, we appreciate you for the difficult job you do".
Our main troop emphasis right now is writing LOTS of letters making hugs kisses.
If anyone browsing the site would like to help us meet the needs of our outstanding troops in harm's way, please contact Karen at thehugsproject(at)cox.net for ways you can help. We hope you will consider participating in our present their future.
