The Crypt Door was created to help Buffy/Spike fans find gems amid the thousands of pieces of fan fiction that revolve around this couple and their complex relationship. Recommendations, ratings, comments and links to the stories are posted here by the group owner and one other moderator. (Occasionally, the story itself may also be posted.) While adult themed stories may prevail, stories of all ratings will be recommended. If you have read or written a story that you would like to see recommended here, you may send it to TheCryptDoor@aol.com, and a decision will be made on whether to include it. With very few exceptions, only finished stories will be suggested here.

There's a lot of terrific Buffy/Spike fiction out there. The Crypt Door hopes to help you find stories you will love, stories that will make you laugh and cry, and some that will touch you and stay with you for a long, long time. Not all of the stories you will find here are literary masterpieces. But each of them had, at the very least, that elusive *something*, that made us want to share it with others. It's a pretty sure bet that you won't like everything you see recommended here. But we hope you'll find enough stories that fit your taste to keep you coming back for more. Buffy/Spike fans have been blessed with some wonderfully talented writers, and The Crypt Door wants to connect you to them.

Fan fiction writers receive a sense of accomplishment and personal satisfaction for their efforts. Your feedback to them is important, and can make their day. Please take the time to let writers know you appreciate and enjoy their hard work.
