You ever pick up the phone while you are cooking and start talking to your friend, telling them what you are cooking, going over the recipe, and at the same time venting about hubby, the kids, and all the insane things we fit in to 24 hours?
I KNOW I DO!! I spend a lot of time talking to my Best Friend and Co-Moderator of the group Yvette while cooking. She gets to hear me (as I do her)scream "No dinner is not ready", "Didn't I tell you to set the table", "Babe, hands out of the food", and of course "GET OUT OF MY KITCHEN" without missing a beat of the conversation.
MY kitchen, THE B*tch*n Kitchen. That is in a nut shell why I created this group. We have so many MOM groups, cooking groups, and groups for just talking. I wanted a group that we could come and hang out like we were in the kitchen gathered around with a glass of wine and vent over our lives while making great dishes and passing around recipes & cooking secrets.
So here we are, WELCOME, we are open to everyone. I am Cuban American, my best friend is American, and we like the differences that our culture puts in our cooking. Come Join us, the woman learning to cook, experienced cooks, bakers, and anyone who wants to be in the kitchen has something to vent about.
We love our other halves and our kids but some days we just need to express how they make us nuts. Please come and join us for another day in the kitchen, talking and sampling great kitchen ideas.
Post your recipes, share ideas, ask for help, share kitchen tricks, discuss kitchen disasters, tell us about a good book, or just hang out and discuss the stress of day to day. You can never learn too much in the kitchen. There is so much I feel we can enjoy in this group, Let's just do it.
When you join you won't regret it. Make sure your first post is an introduction, please be polite and nice to the other members. New friendships can always be formed sitting around a great meal. Enjoy & Bon Apetit!
