Hi Mellissa,
The day and time are fine for me. Let me know if there is a
change...otherwise, I'll see you then.
Do you by any chance know anything about the Pioneer Service that CTAP told
me about? They give free TTY's and I need one for the upstairs here. I
haven't been able to get them.
See you soon,
Angie
(Seeing as how August managed to sneak up
on me, I was hoping that everyone would be willing to try a slightly different day
and time this month.Please
let me know if this will or will not work as I can try another day if we
don’t have enough who can make it.)

Hi Mellisa,
I felt awful when I had to miss the last meeting. At that time I was
negotiating to purchase a condo and now I'm trying to rent it because I can't
move yet. March 7th should be OK for me to attend the next meeting. It is a
subject that I would love to know more about. Music is enjoyable now compared
to hearing it with hearing aids (it was just noise). Words are still elusive
although I catch some.
Thanks for the e-mail!

I am sorry you can't be at this meeting. We meet every other month on the second Saturday at 10 AM at Childerens Medical Center. Our next meeting will be in March.
I think Cindy is off line so I will answer. I'm sorry, we have no child care this meeting. I wish we could have it available every meeting, but I don't think that is possible right now. Perhaps in the future the parents could take turns if we could get an additional room. Talk with Cindy about it. She will be back on line by next week.
I really hope you can attend anyway because our speakers should have some really good information for us.

hello everyone, Cindy here! I took the liberty of changing the name
of the group to "CIAI Pioneer Chapter San Diego". Let me know if this
doesn't work. The reason I chose to word it this way is because
Cochlear Implant Assoc. Inc is also a yahooer :-) and I felt it would
be a good thing if when someone was trying to locate the original
CIAI that they would see our little ol group right below them :-)
I just changed the name minutes ago soooo it will take a couple days
for the change to take effect as far as yahoo is concerned. When we
are at the meeting on Saturday we can inform everyone of the change
(I'm sure there wont be any objections)and give them the site
address. I have finally figured out how to get to this site as well
as my own support group! Can you believe it Derek! All you have to do
is log onto Yahoo.com,once there use their search engine by typing in
Parents of Ci Kids. A page will pop up and the group will be at the
top. At that point you click on and the rest is HISTORY!! YIPEE!

Not being too good at computers and the Internet, I don't really know much about the webgroups. Am I a member of the CIAI-San Diego group? If, not, how do I join? I actually found it, but I am sure I took the scenic route to get there and didn't know where I was when I got there or what I was supposed to do. HELP!
*Testing** This is our first official San Diego Chapter CIAI posting**
Our next meeting will be scheduled for Saturday July 14th, 2001 10a.m
to 12 noon.
Jackie, could you please give me Judy's e-mail address so that I can
ad her as a moderator of this group.
Thank You, Cindy
