The Omega chapter of Alpha Phi is one of many Alpha Phi chapters that are forming a special club just for parents. The purpose of this club is to support the Alpha Phi chapter of which your daughter is a member. Of course, in our organization, there are many sources of support for collegiate chapters, including a variety of caring and trained local, regional, and international volunteers, as well as professional staff members at Alpha Phi’s Executive Office in Evanston, Illinois. Parental involvement is an added bonus for these young women.
The membership of this yahoo group consists of parents of collegiate members of Alpha Phi International Fraternity from the University of Texas - Omega chapter. This is a virtual community of members across the Unites States and the rest of the world. The purpose of this group is to provide a forum for parents and their daughters along with advisers to share ideas, to lend support to the chapter via special “parent- sponsored projects”, and to share the “sorority experience”. The possibilities for support are endless and your level of involvement is entirely up to you. Through your involvement with the Parents’ Club, you will meet and get to know other Alpha Phi parents while supporting your daughter in sorority life. You will become a part of her Alpha Phi experience and share in her college memories. You may choose to be minimally involved, to simply offer your support with yearly dues or you may want to take an active role and work with the chapter officers and advisers to plan activities. This is all possible through local or long distance support.
