Telugu is a richly developed language and the biggest linguistic unit in India, second only to Hindi. According to the 1981* Census, Telugu is spoken by over 45 million in Andhra Pradesh. It has also spread to the other parts of the globe, i.e., Burma, Indo-China, South-Africa and the U.S.A. Being a mellifluous language, it is called, by its admirers as the `Italian of the East'.

There are so many of telugu people living in different parts of the world. Through so many discussion forums on telugu one can feel that most of the telugu diaspora wants to contribute to the telugu history, culture and development of our state. There are so many agencies, associations, forums and NGOs who are doing very good job on this front.

The aim of forming this group is to encompass all the efforts of all forums under one umbrella organisation and coordinate it in efficient way for the benefit of Telugu diaspora.

The objectives of this group are as follows:

1. Utilise the vast resources available online both manpower(brain power) and information for providing best solutions to Telugu Society.

2. To spread the Telugu language usage in all activities of life with concentration on content and software development in telugu language.

3. To coordinate between all the agencies and NGOs for development of our State.
