Description

Welcome to Team Rurik!

According to Russia's "Primary Chronicle," Rurik came from northern Sweden to Russia in 862AD. He founded a dynasty of merchant princes who became the first kings of Russia. The Rurikids ruled until the Time of Troubles and the rise of the Romanov Czars.

Now, Rurik's tomb has been discovered, near his home at Holmgard; not far from Novgorod, Russia. It is Team Rurik's mission to see this tomb presrved and professionally excavated. Ultimately, we want to see a living history history museum, much like the famous Jorvik Museum in England, established to celebrate the "Coming of Rurik" and the creative blending of Swedish, Slavic, Finnish and Baltic cultures that laid the foundation for Russian society.

No Dig Plans
Perhaps no action at Rurik's Tomb is better than amateur actions. Until the tomb can be investigated by real professionals with adaquate financial backing
