I originally invisaged this group as a Tardis builders group.But I found that a much better group existed on the internet called "Tardis builders"I joined that group and decided to rename this group as "Tardis sounds",so that members joining would have access to a library of some of the brilliant sound effects created over many years of everyones favourite Police box,with its other bells and whistles,There have been many Tardis`s over the years (The Monks.Masters,Ranis,Omegas,) all having their own unique sound and don`t forget the Sidrat,a cheapo War chief version of the Tardis,It is with thanks to Brian Hodgeson,with his old piano frame and his Mums front door key that we have this unique sound today,His original idea for the"Vwoorp Vwoorp"sound was that the Tardis is literaly ripping space/time when it de/re-materialises ,A real out of the box concept for the 60`s when a rocket sound would have been so much easier to produce,And don`t forget Dick Mills who inherited the sounds from Brian and created many many other effects for Who (and also worked on the original theme tune with the late great Delia Derbyshire)So here is the site Enjoy.
