9:00 – 4:00 pm session

Fees: 	 $8.99 includes BBQ and chicken lunch
			 $13.99 after August 21, 2007

Who: District Training Committee Members, Pack Trainers, and
anyone interested in becoming a trainer.

What: Every boy deserves a trained leader.  The Trainer Development
Conference teaches Scouters the skills to become a better trainer.
Participants work in groups with practical sessions that provide
feedback to grow one's skills and exchange of ideas.

Hi all,

Each elementary school is hosting an open house night.  Please be
aware scout unit table(s) have been reserved for local scout units.
I have been meeting with Elementary School Staff today and will
again for tommorrow.

How will the open house run?
Most schools are not having a general meeting for announcements to
be made - they are having families visit classrooms and tour the
school. But some schools will have a general meeting - for these
schools I have asked school staff to allow time for a Scouting. This
will be handled by a designated Scouting Representative (we have
been only granted 2 or 3 minutes to speak).

What will happen during the open house?
We are going to recruit leaders and boys at the open house meetings.
A scouting representative will be assigned to that open house to
assist in signing families up. Pack leadership are needed and
welcomed to attend with scouts to recruit families for their pack.

What will happen after the open house?
After the open house nights each school will have a sign up night to
allow families a second chance to join Scouting. Pack leadership are
needed and welcomed to help in recruiting new families into their
unit. Further, a 'Mall Join Scouting Day' is scheduled for families
to join Scout Units as well.

What supplies will be used?
*Lawn Signs at each school
*Posters in the main office area (School staff will approve
placement)
*1st day of school flyer to every boy in the school
*Day before sign up night flyer to every boy in the school
*Scout Applications
*Leader Applications
*Informational program materials

Other details:
Englewood Elementary School's open house night is August 24.
