Description

The Gay/Straight Alliance was established by Kate Goodrich in her sophomore year (2000-2001)- with the advice of Jacob Hall, the founder and former president of the GSA at West Forsyth High School- with intentions of providing a safe haven for LGBT students and other minorities facing harassment and discrimination, while humbly celebrating diversity.

The mission of the Gay/Straight Alliance is to discuss the realities and issues that face LGBT students in our society today. The group works towards creating a safe environment for all students, and to instill an appreciation for the diversity of the student body and faculty.
