The Titanic Historical Society, established 1963, is the original Titanic Society -- the oldest and largest Titanic organization in the world. Our mission is preserving the history of Titanic, the people who built and sailed her and the ships of the White Star Line.
Titanic history is preserved in our publications, the Titanic Museum, our popular themed events. The Society has a superb collection at the Titanic Museum and the "glue" that holds us together is our premier quarterly journal The Titanic Commutator.
Astor's Gala, Bon Voyage Titanic, Titanic in First, Second & Third Class, Titanic in the Movies and THS's 45th Anniversary on Queen Mary, Titanic Sail Away Parties and Titanic Heritage Tour, Col. Astor's Rhinebeck & the Historic Hudson Valley. Tom McCluskie, MBE, from Harland & Wolff, Dr. Robert Ballard, THS's own historian Don Lynch and maritime artist, Ken Marschall have been recent speakers.
THS unveiled and dedicated the Titanic Centennial Memorial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Springfield MA the weekend of April 20-22 2012.
THS was founded on September 6, 1963. 2013 is our 50th birthday. Our celebration will be at Pigeon Forge, Tennessee on September 5, 6, 7, 8, 2013. We'll be planning special events with Titanic Pigeon Forge to mark our half century and we'll post information as details are confirmed.
