The Titanic Historical Society, established 1963, is the original Titanic Society -- the oldest and largest Titanic organization in the world. Our mission is preserving the history of Titanic, the people who built and sailed her and the ships of the White Star Line.
Titanic history is preserved in our publications, the Titanic Museum, our popular themed events. The Society has a superb collection at the Titanic Museum and the "glue" that holds us together is our premier quarterly journal The Titanic Commutator.
Astor's Gala, Bon Voyage Titanic, Titanic in First, Second & Third Class, Titanic in the Movies and THS's 45th Anniversary on Queen Mary. Tom McCluskie, MBE, from Harland & Wolff, Dr. Robert Ballard, THS's own historian Don Lynch and maritime artist, Ken Marschall have been recent speakers.
The feedback from those attending THS's 45th Anniversary on the Queen Mary was fantastic, the memorable convention was one of the best ever. THS is scheduled to return to Long Beach/Queen Mary on April 7-8-9-10 2011, and added a day.
THS is also returning to the wonderful weekends at The Castle in Chicopee MA for "Titanic Sail Away Parties" on March 26-27-28, 2010. How first, second, third-class passengers and crew celebrated before sailing at places like the South Western Hotel and The Grapes pub. Sure to be another great time. Save those dates and plan to come.
THS has another new forum that's open to THS members and Titanic researchers
