This site is for Judges of THE STORY to come together and share experiences,ideas,modules, and information about upcoming events. The Story is a unique AD&D 1st edition campaign, with several notable features.

General description

* The Story is only played during conventions - primarily GEN-CON
* Characters are saved in a database and can be re-used from event to event
* Characters can be generated, and mundane details can be handled on-line on our official website.
* Story adventures and events are never forced along "linear" story lines
* Players drive the story - all characters have free will
* Every event is unique and only ever played once
* We use the first edition of Advanced Dungeons and Dragons(copyright TSR)
* Some playing conventions and rules have been borrowed from LARPS

General Setting

* The campaign begins during the height of the Roman Empire
To the Northwest, an uneasy truce exists with the United Kingdoms of Keltia
* To the North, are the Vikings, and the barbaric northern tribes
* Far to the East, lies the vast Tenorian empire
* The unexplored mysteries of the African continent await to the South
* Exotic lands, peoples and cultures stretch out in every direction, littered with the remnants of ancient cities and civilizations
