The first Christians met together daily to learn more about their new relationship with God through Christ (see Acts 2:42), and they also met regularly for meals and to pray with one another. They were attune to the needs of those in their community and they shared their possessions without any reservations.
It is almost impossible to implement this specific practice in our modern day culture. With our busy lifestyles, school, work, after school activities with our children, we barely find time to sit down to a meal together as family. However, utilizing modern technology and the internet, it is possible to incorporate these “ancient” practices among believers to a workable, meaningful plan.
TCAA ShareCycle is a private group that is open only to members or attendees of The Church at Argyle, Jacksonville, FL. Membership is optional and must be approved.
This group is also open to the students who are members of Impact, the youth ministry at The Church at Argyle.
One of the purposes of this group is to freely offer or "recycle" items not being used by a member. It is designed to help communicate and meet needs of our church community, however it is not meant to be a buy or sell email group.
So...do you have some extra un-used household items in your garage or clothes that you or your kids have outgrown? Why not offer it here? Do you have a need for something specific? Ask...someone in the group just may have it sitting around collecting dust.
By joining The Church at Argyle (TCAA) ShareCycle group, all members must agree to hold neither The Church at Argyle nor the list moderator or anyone affiliated with the TCAA ShareCycle Group responsible or liable for any circumstance resulting from a ShareCycle-related gifting or communication. Items for sale of any kind will not be posted at any time. There is to be no exchange of money and The Church of Argyle is not responsible for any work or exchange that is not satisfactory.
