The Tennessee Central Special Interest Group. The online home of those who are interested in the history and finescale modelling of the Tennessee Central.

The short-term goals of this effort are to present factual discussions of the technical and historical aspects of the Tennessee Central prior to its demise and break up in 1968.

Medium-range goals include a possible meeting of interested parties in one of the former towns served in Kentucky or Tennessee.

While there is not currently a Tennessee Central technical or historical society, long-term goals of this group include such efforts to remember this fallen railroad.

The list is open to anyone with any interest in the Tennessee Central. Any topics including railway operations, customer base, prototype modelling, employee history, equipment, geography, etc. is fair game. Post 1968 operations are not.

THE PASSING OF AN OLD FRIEND......

A 2004 photo of your List-Meister lurking under a simple TC bridge on the main just east of Stewarts Ferry Pike and west of the old creamery on the Cloverbottom property. The bridge was an unfortunate casualty of the NashvilleStar line upgrade.
