This group has been formed for people living in Israel to share tips on how to survive during hard times, especially with the current economic and security situation. We also will deal with preparations for major disasters like earthquakes.

We have in our archives messages about money saving tips, no interest loans, avoiding bank overdraft, growing your own food, wilderness survival, organic gardening, do-it-yourself household repairs; how to qualify for public housing; baking bread; grinding four; making your own cranberry juice, soap, essential herbal oils, perfumes/deoderants, ant & roach killer, furniture polish, window cleaner, oven cleaner, silver cleaner, wine, sourdough starter; recipes to make inexpensive nutritious meals, places to buy things wholesale or cheap, services for single parent families, the disabled, the elderly and the community in general; finding free or low cost appliances, furniture / clothing.

Members who want to share money saving tips, survival and defense information, may post a message. Messages should be limited to maximum of 500 words. Members who want to post longer messages should offer links to them or offer them directly to interested group members.

The group moderators will screen all messages for approval for posting. The moderators reserve the right to refuse or edit messages on any ground, so please keep them to the needs of the group.

The moderators may also reject or ban members, especially those who post abusive or offensive messages or show themselves to be destructive to the group or its needs.
