"SULIGOWSKI'S REGIMENT",(Sobieski’s Command), America's 1st U.S.Polish Winged Hussar Living History Group.
America's first 17th Century Polish-Lithuanian Living History Group to portray the winged hussar cavalry forces of the Polish Commonwealth. Dzięn Dobry Państwo!
Born in early 1998, and finding no 17th century Polish period representation anywhere in the U.S. at that time, we quickly established ourselves by mid-2000, at Renaissance festivals and military timelines as The Polish Nobility Commonwealth Guild, and changed the name shortly thereafter. In addition, we’ve quickly been added to Polish cultural events, lectures, parades and other public cultural events from coast-to-coast. We have been recognized as the pioneers in this field, acknowledged and awarded by dozens of American Polonia & Polish-American Organizations and syndicated newspapers, and known internationally and in the very heart of Poland itself. Raising Polish Historical Awareness & Culture has been our Prime Directive from day one. Additionally, we made U.S. History in the 2002 NYC Pulaski Parade with the 1st Winged Hussar portrayal in any parade in U.S. History. Welcome to our group!
