Description
|
The focus of this group is upon whatever concerns are engaging students -- past, present, and future. The list base originally lay in my own philosophy classes at Brooklyn College, CUNY -- legal, political, and other -- but students from anywhere are welcomed. Some former students with extensive experience in such areas as law, medicine, education, government, immigration and deportation, starting a second career, and other things can offer advice and/or even jobs in their fields. The list is unmoderated, but please observe net courtesies. Only in extreme cases will abusers be banned. Hopefully list members will engage in dialogue here. My teacher's voice has unfortunately been too dominant and my dialogues with students carried on privately.
I had intended this list to be for discussion and exchange of ideas, but my own students have tended to contact me privately, so that I end up being the only poster. PLEASE JOIN IN. I have now formally retired from teaching as of 9/1/07 and greatly miss chatting with my students and others. What are you doing and finding out there? Ed Kent
