Dear all,

We need some help from you. We are preparing a directory for the
website which will have the contacts of all those who matter while
pursuing a ragging complaint. I have asked one of our volunteers,
Rohit, to prepare such a directory for Central Govt or All-India
level offices (Ministry of HRD, NHRC, UGC, AICTE, NAAC). This
requires Google searching, nothing else.

Now I request you all to prepare s a directory for states. Pic kup
any state, preferably your own, and do rigorous google searching. If
you have access to information resources off line, that would be
even better. Please try your best to ensure that your information is
correct and up to date. If you are a journalist, this should be easy
for you, as you may already have it.

In the states, we want the
> names,
> office addresses,
> phone numbers,
> fax numbers and
> email IDs

The Governor*

The Chief Minister*
The Chief Secretary

The Home Minister
The Home Secretary

The (Higher/Technical) Education Minister*
The (Higher/Technical) Education Secretary / Secretaries

The Chairman, State Human Rights Commission
All secretaries of the State Human Rights Commission

The Director General of Police

Some contacts of local and/or state capital journalists / editors.



* Do mention the date of swearing in; that will help us keep track
of changes


Very important: For every entry, provide the link or source you got
it from. We will cross-check it all before putting it online.


Please make your list neatly in the order given above, preferably in
a notepad file, and mail it to info at stopragging.org. While using
the info sent by you, we will give you credit. Credit will be given
again on a special page for VOLUNTEERS, when it is put up.


I hope this is not too much to ask for? We surely need more than
just sympathy for the cause. There's so much to be done this side
and an hour's google searching by you can go a long way.
